Today any change within an organization needs to be mapped correspondingly within the IT environment of that organization. Major changes, caused by mergers, fusions, restructurings or carve outs, result in proportionally big changes having to take place within the IT infrastructure.

Migration projects affect numerous different, but interlinked layers of an IT landscape. Any changes made, must be free of error and free of conflict. In addition, the changes have to be made while the organization is performing normally and systems are running. The challenge is not limited to transferring a large number of users in a very short period of time from one IT environment to the next. It includes “removing” the users from the old environment, without removing the data connected to their accounts.
